University Challenge is a television quiz between posh universities where a starter question is worth
ten points each.
Brian, a working-class student is in the first year at a private university in the UK.
He has a lot to prove. While his hometown friends think he will turn into a nerd, Brian is
training a team for University Challenge.
Brian also finds himself romantically torn between blonde University Challenge
teammate Alice and the thoughtful Rebecca, who is highly politically-conscious.
In the end Brian slowly discovers the difference between knowledge and wisdom.
It's the Thatcher era and there is an economic depression. The movie also includes the music
of Wham!, Bananarama, Tears For Fears, The Cure and many more bands.
This coming-of-age 80s Teen-Comedy was released on February 16th, 2007, filmed in London,
